Democratic Left is the official magazine of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), run by the Democratic Left subcommittee of the National Editorial Board. The National Political Committee appoints the Editorial Board every two years in accordance with a 2023 National Convention Resolution.
We are publication for members, run by members. We publish articles around 1200-2000 words that focus on reporting about the organization and on topics and issues relevant to our members and their work in the organization.

Submissions
We accept submissions on a rolling basis through our email from members. Please send us pitches at the email below that include a summary of your argument and subject matter of your article. If you are not a member, you can join DSA here. Alternatively, you can co-publish with a DSA member if you are not one yourself.
